Sally leads our national pay practice, specialising in equal pay issues and pay gap reporting/pay transparency issues. Sally is a recognised expert on equal pay, recognised by legal directories on several occasions, including for 'specialist knowledge of equal pay in addition to excellent employment advice'.
Sally has significant experience of conducting and managing multiple equal pay litigation on behalf of clients in numerous sectors (including local authorities and transport). She also advises on strategic equal pay issues including the implementation of new pay and grading structures, risk management, pensions implications and handling equal pay grievances. Sally is currently leading a major client's defence of thousands of equal pay claims in the retail sector.
In addition to her contentious practice, Sally also gives advice in relation to non-contentious matters such as proposals to change terms and conditions of employment, strategic management of industrial relations issues, implementing new pay and grading structures, gender pay gap reporting and equal pay audits. She has also played a major role in equal pay audits which have been widely reported in the media.
Sally is a regular speaker/trainer at client training events, and regularly writes on equal pay/gender pay issues for various publications.
