Brian's practice focuses on representing payments and fintech clients in a wide range of transactional and advisory matters, including joint ventures, strategic commercial and outsourcing arrangements, and M&A.
Brian regularly advises his clients on joint ventures and other strategic business alliances, complex commercial and outsourcing arrangements, large-scale transaction processing and network participation agreements, mergers and acquisitions, emerging payments initiatives, and technology transfer and licensing transactions. Brian also advises clients in other industries, including data center providers and energy clients on joint ventures and general corporate advice. He combines a thorough understanding of business transactions with the legal and regulatory issues that impact his clients to provide representation that meets their business objectives and legal needs.
Brian is a member of the Eversheds Sutherland (US) Payments and Digital Commerce Team, Financial Services Team, and Technology, Outsourcing and Procurement (TOP) team.
- Advised one of the largest global financial institutions in its acquisition of a technology platform for mobile payments.
- Advised T5 Data Centers on its agreement with QuadReal Property Group to launch a platform for the acquisition, development and operation of data centers for enterprise and hyperscale users.
- Represented First Data Corporation in the negotiation of its multi-year master services agreement with Synchrony Financial, one of the largest issuers of private label credit cards.
