New associate joins the Eversheds Sutherland team in Austria

Julian Maurer, LL.M. (30) joins the team of the international law firm Eversheds Sutherland in Austria as an associate. His focus is on data protection and IT law as well as intellectual property.

He advises companies on solving complex legal issues in connection with data protection and cybersecurity and ensuring that they comply with legal requirements. He also supports clients in the field of intellectual property in enforcing their copyright and trademark rights.

Having previously worked in the legal department of a software company, he has a very good knowledge of the IT industry and an understanding of new technologies. He has been involved in legal issues relating to digitalization for many years.

This expertise enables him to provide his clients with practical advice on their software development projects and advise them on all issues relating to artificial intelligence and big data.

Besides his law studies in Innsbruck, he completed a postgraduate master's degree in intellectual property and data protection law at the Technical University of Dresden.
