Her areas of focus include onshore and offshore wind, solar, hydrogen, and carbon capture usage and storage (CCUS).
Jeraldine has experience supporting planning applications for onshore and offshore wind, solar, and infrastructure projects in a range of Scottish and English planning regimes, including Section 36 applications and Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects.
In addition to planning experience, Jeraldine has undertaken a 6 month secondment to BP plc working on their offshore wind projects and has experience supporting energy litigation matters.
Before her legal career, Jeraldine worked with entrepreneurs in Lebanon, developing a network of businesses, NGOs and public bodies to support entrepreneurial solutions to challenges in the country.
- reviewing and advising on environmental impact assessments and other supporting application materials for renewable energy projects in Scotland including Section 36 applications for onshore wind projects and applications to Marine Scotland for offshore wind projects
- advising on specialist areas including biodiversity management and no-net loss calculations and community benefit packages for major infrastructure projects in Scotland and the rest of the UK
- post-consent and construction advice, including due diligence on the planning concerns for the sale of wind farms and liaising on OFTO transactions
- project management for consenting procedures including Section 36 public local inquiries and DCO examinations
