Sam has extensive experience advising landlords on complex vacant possession strategies and development constraints as part of multi-million-pound city center redevelopments.
Sam regularly assists utility providers in obtaining urgent access to land to ensure the safety and integrity of both the gas and electricity network.

Sam's experience includes:
- advising to an institutional landlord on vacant possession strategy/development constraints to facilitate a circa £1.5 billion redevelopment
- advising a tenant on a claim against its landlord on a significant property damaged by flooding. The claim was for breach of the lease and in nuisance. The claim was for over £1m in damages following the loss of an opportunity to sublet and loss of beneficial use. It was settled following mediation on very successful terms for our client, which included a significant payment
- dealing with a substantial dilapidations' claim for an institutional landlord, which was resolved at mediation and resulted in the client receiving a significantly larger sum than anticipated.
- obtaining urgent injunctions for access to land for utility providers by enforcing the deed terms and utilizing statutory rights.
- defending a substantial claim for damages arising from breach of a Deed of Covenant
- Commercial Dispute Resolution Award for highest marks during Legal Practice Contract
