Ben Reed advises clients in all aspects of complex commercial litigation and dispute resolution, and regarding higher education regulatory and compliance matters.
These matters include class actions, contract disputes, various business torts, products liability, and regulatory compliance. His litigation practice covers the lifecycle of a commercial dispute, including pre-suit negotiations, discovery, motion practice, trial, post-judgment enforcement, appeals and alternative dispute resolution.
In his higher education practice, he advises postsecondary educational institutions on compliance matters arising out of federal and state accrediting agency oversight and regulation, including with respect to institutional participation in the Title IV federal student aid program. He also advises education clients in regard to their corporate compliance programs and on regulatory and transactional issues arising from mergers, acquisitions, sales, and investments in educational institutions.
Ben also represents clients in the energy sector regarding disputes and administrative and regulatory matters, including before courts and state regulatory commissions.
