At Eversheds Sutherland (International), we use artificial intelligence and advanced digital technologies to support the efficient delivery of legal services and to enhance our internal operations. Our use of AI is focused on enterprise grade platforms that are widely adopted across the firm and subject to robust governance and oversight.
These AI technologies may include (amongst others):
- Harvey, an AI platform designed specifically for legal professionals
- Microsoft 365 Copilot, used to support productivity and collaboration
- Lexis Protégé (formerly Lexis+ AI), supporting legal research and analysis in relevant jurisdictions
The availability and use of specific AI tools may vary by Eversheds Sutherland jurisdiction and legal entity.
These technologies are used to assist with tasks such as legal research, drafting, document analysis and productivity support. They do not replace legal judgment.
Governance, oversight and responsible use
Across Eversheds Sutherland, the adoption and use of AI technologies are subject to appropriate due diligence to assess data protection, confidentiality, security and ethical considerations, in line with our internal policies and professional obligations.
Where AI tools are used as part of the delivery of legal services, all outputs are reviewed and validated by appropriately qualified professionals. We do not rely on AI generated outputs without human oversight.
We do not use client data to train public AI models. Where required, and particularly where AI tools are used outside our standard business operations, we will seek client consent and provide further information on request.
