Eversheds Sutherland announces new members of US Executive Committee, Partners Stacey Kern and Michael Sweeney elected to join

Eversheds Sutherland is pleased to announce the election of two new members to the firm’s US Executive Committee: Partners Stacey T. Kern and R. Michael Sweeney, Jr.

Ms. Kern is a mergers and acquisitions partner with more than 25 years of experience. She counsels private equity funds and their portfolio companies, as well as multinational companies, in a variety of complex domestic and cross-border business transactions. Ms. Kern also serves on the Eversheds Sutherland Global Board of Directors.

Mr. Sweeney is co-head of the Energy and Commodities Derivatives practice and Enforcement and Government Investigations team. He focuses on commercial and regulatory matters, government investigations and enforcement defense, and policy advocacy regarding the trading of physical commodities and financial commodity derivatives in markets for energy, agriculture and weather products. He represents clients before the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, Federal Trade Commission, Department of Justice and National Futures Association/regulated futures exchanges.

Ms. Kern and Mr. Sweeney join Robert Copps, Olga Greenberg, Griff Griffin, Cynthia Krus, Sarah Paul, John Pruitt, Maria Todorova and Mark Wasserman, who will all continue their service on the Executive Committee.
