Robbie Smith

Robbie has a background in law, having completed his LLB and LPC at university. He worked for a global law firm to deliver legal services before transitioning into the legal technology and innovation space. 

Collaborating with both the operating teams at Konexo and client in-house legal teams, Robbie drives legal process and technology transformation. He manages and delivers projects focused on onboarding new technologies, configuring solutions using existing technology and reviewing legal operating models. His work enables clients to improve efficiency and achieve more with fewer resources.

Robbie engages with clients at both strategic and operational levels. At a strategic level, he conducts reviews and provides tailored recommendations to enhance the efficiency of in-house legal operating models. At an operational level, he delivers hands-on support, configuring and implementing technology to help legal teams maximise the value of their available tools, particularly in areas such as contract management, matter management and knowledge management.

With over six years of experience in legal technology, Robbie has hands-on experience with legal-specific tools such as HighQ, Litera Transact, StructureFlow, Ironclad, Sirion Labs, LawVu and many others. He also has deep expertise in tools such as Microsoft PowerPlatform and other low/no-code development platforms.

Robbie’s industry-agnostic approach allows him to work effectively across various sectors. He has supported in-house legal teams in industries such as banking, finance and global distribution, as well as consulting with law firms directly on operational transformation. A strong leader, Robbie manages project teams to meet delivery expectations, mitigate risks and ensure successful project outcomes.
