Last weekend, the Government published a Return to Work Safely Protocol designed to “support employers and workers to put measures in place that will prevent the spread of COVID-19” in the workplace once businesses and offices begin to reopen.
The Protocol brought some clarity and also many questions for our clients.
As such, on 15 May we hosted a webinar focusing on the practical application of transitioning a workforce back into the workplace.
In this webinar our Partners Julie Galbraith, Marie McGinley and Stephen Barry consider the Protocol and respond to questions in a discussion moderated by Joanne Hyde with thoughts on:
• The basic requirements outlined in the Government Protocol
• PPE
• Checking for temperatures
• Issues with working from home in the long-term
• Employees who can’t attend work where schools and crèches are closed
• Emerging issues
Further guidance on returning to work safely through our Employment and EHS team’s ‘Guiding principles – returning to the workplace’ document is also available here.
