He began working as a lecturer at the University of Amsterdam and began his career at a renowned Dutch firm. He specialises in complex administrative law cases in the areas of enforcement law and environmental law (including spatial planning).
His recent experience includes: successfully litigate for solar park development, consulting on nitrogen issues for a sustainable offshore project, a successful negotiation in which the government renewed the authorization of a biocide (which makes an important contribution to the safety of drinking water) and negotiating and litigating an enforcement case at the Port of Rotterdam.
He is the co-author of books on the subject of smart cities and the legal position of councillors.
