Kristina Kopf Thomas is a commercial real estate and fund formation attorney with more than 20 years of experience working with real estate industry clients on a broad spectrum of transactions.
Kristina has a strong background in the structuring and formation of private equity real estate investment funds and joint ventures for the acquisition, operation and development of real estate assets. She also has extensive experience advising real estate clients in acquiring, financing, developing and selling all types of real estate assets.
Over the years, Kristina has represented real estate industry clients, including real estate investment funds and joint ventures, national and regional developers of retail, office and multifamily projects, publicly traded real estate investment trusts (REITs), institutional investors and investment management institutions in a wide range of real estate industry-focused transactions.
Most recently, she has been the lead attorney in some of the largest real estate transactions involving multi-billion-dollar acquisitions, dispositions and recapitalizations and the formation of closed-ended and open-ended private equity real estate investment funds.
Kristina also is a member of the advisory council for Atlanta Habitat for Humanity, and the boards of directors for Midtown Alliance and the Georgia Chamber of Commerce. She serves as pro bono counsel for several non-profit institutions in real estate-related matters.
