Marta is responsible for the Life Sciences team in Spain, Co-Head of the International Cross-Border Litigation Group, Co-Head of the firm's International Life Sciences Sector Group and Director of the Pharma Unit.
Her professional practice focuses on advising companies in the pharmaceutical and life science sector, particularly on litigation related to patent infringement, product liability, drug advertising and unfair competition.
She also has valuable in-house experience, having worked in the legal departments of GlaxoSmithKline, S.A. (Spain) and Celgene International Sàrl (Switzerland), where she managed commercial, compliance and regulatory matters in the sector.
The combination of her background in pharmaceutical litigation, particularly in product liability and patents, together with her in-house experience in companies in the sector, gives her a high degree of specialisation and a deep understanding of the pharmaceutical legal environment.
Marta actively collaborates in the preparation and drafting of specialised legal publications. Since 2018, she has been the Academic Director and lecturer of the executive programme "Health Sector: Legal and Commercial Implications" at IE Law School. She has also been the Academic Director and lecturer of the Master's Degree in Intellectual Property "Master Class on Intellectual and Industrial Property" at Villanueva University.
