Marek Jeżewski is an attorney-at-law and a Partner heading the Arbitration & Complex Commercial Disputes practice at Eversheds Sutherland Poland.
He specializes in public international law, international investment law and dispute resolution. He is primarily involved in international arbitration and strategic counseling for the resolution of complex commercial disputes. He has over 15 years of experience providing legal advice to businesses.
Before joining the firm, Marek headed the dispute resolution practice at one of Poland's largest law firms. Prior to that, he was an academic lecturer and an expert at the Legal and Treaty Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In 2011, he was also vice chairman of the UN Commission on International Trade Law.
He has represented clients before all major arbitration institutions such as ICSID, ICC, SCC, LCIA, SCAI, SAKIG and SAL, as well as in ad hoc arbitrations. He works for leading companies in the energy, mining, and heavy industry sectors. He has experience in resolving post-trade disputes, including post-M&A. He has represented numerous foreign investors in disputes against various countries. Additionally, he has represented companies in multiple disputes against the European Commission before the CJEU concerning the gas market and competition law violations. As a pioneer, he introduced Third Party Funding for disputes to the Polish market. He also serves as an arbitrator, both as a party nominee and as a presiding arbitrator.

- Marek is the author of the only practical textbook on international investment law (C.H. Beck 2019) and numerous domestic and international publications. He is also co-author of Research Handbook on International Procedural Law, published by Edward Elgar.
- He graduated from Nicolaus Copernicus University with a degree in law and earned his doctorate from Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University.
