Daniela Viaggio

Daniela’s practice focuses on all aspects of energy transactions, including project finance, M&A and project development, both in Italy and internationally. With a background as a banking lawyer and deep expertise in the energy sector, she is well positioned to advise clients on complex financing structures and strategic transactions.

Daniela is a highly practical lawyer, recognised for her open-minded and flexible approach in assisting clients with sophisticated and innovative structures, while always maintaining a solution-oriented mindset when navigating non-straightforward transactions.

Her core expertise lies in energy-related financing, project development and acquisition transactions, where she regularly advises major national and international players. She has been extensively involved in the negotiation and drafting of finance and project documentation for energy and infrastructure projects on a cross-border basis, working closely with sponsors, lenders and counterparties.

Daniela also advises on the drafting, negotiation and management of EPC, DBO and O&M contracts, as well as PPAs and other key project agreements, both domestically and internationally.

Her clients include banks, infrastructure and real estate funds, independent power producers (IPPs), clean energy companies and sponsors.

In addition to her energy practice, Daniela has significant experience in real estate finance, where she primarily assists real estate and infrastructure funds and lenders in financing transactions for the acquisition, development and refinancing of real estate assets, including hotels, shopping centres, office buildings and healthcare and senior living facilities (RSAs).

Prior to joining Eversheds Sutherland, Daniela worked at several leading international and Italian law firms.
