Qualified in the UK and the USA, Alex is our Global Co-Head Energy & Infrastructure Finance, having over 30 years' experience of major infrastructure projects all over the world, with a particularly strong track record in CEE/CIS.
Alex covers the full range of infrastructure transactions.
He advises clients on greenfield project financings (including PPPs) through to brownfield acquisitions both in the UK and overseas, and on restructurings and refinancings.
Acting for sponsors, credit providers and government authorities, he has a focus on transportation (airports, ports, roads, rail).
In the energy sector, Alex is known for his work on renewables transactions.
Alex works on major infrastructure transactions across a range of sectors. He has been involved with many ‘flagship’ deals: Crossrail, Thames Tideway Tunnel, Mersey Gateway Bridge, Eurostar fleet financings, London Gateway Port and the Greek regional airports concession financing, as well as on various toll and availability road projects in the UK, USA, Africa and central and Eastern Europe.

- winning the concession for the development and commercialisation of fibre across the Network Rail Estate known as Project Reach (Infrastructure Journal Fibre Deal of the Year 2026), for SSE and M&G Infracapital.
- three separate rolling stock fleet financings in Germany for sponsors including Rock Rail, John Laing and M&G Infracapital.
- the financing of Belfast International Airport for Vinci.
- the financing of data centres in London and Amsterdam developed by Serverfarm.
- advising DWS and M&G Infracapital from original financing in 2017 through to successful disposal in 2026 of Corelink Rail as owner of the West Midlands rolling stock fleet.
