Rob has extensive experience advising on cross-border and domestic commercial real estate transactions, spanning direct and indirect investments, joint ventures, financings, developments, lettings and sale & leasebacks and for a broad client base, including international investors, lenders, corporate occupiers, developers and funds.
Rob has a particular interest in digital infrastructure, having advised on numerous data centre and telecommunications transactions.
His advice covers all real asset segments, including extensive experience of major office and logistics transactions.
Prior to becoming a partner at Eversheds Sutherland, Rob was at a major UK-headquartered global law firm. He has also spent time seconded to Morgan Stanley’s real estate investment management team and Amazon Web Services’ data centre colocation services team.

Rob has acted on a wide range of transactions for financial investors, developers, operators and occupiers. His recent experience includes advising on the sale of two European data centres by an international tech company. His recent experience prior to joining Eversheds Sutherland International includes:
- a global data centre developer and operator on a carrier-neutral data centre campus development in London
- a data centre operator on its prospective acquisition of a development site in the UK
- various funds on their bids for and (where applicable) acquisitions of European data centre operators
- debt funds and bank lenders on various data centre financings, including construction financings
- a leading European towerco on the real estate aspects of a series of telecoms tower acquisitions and disposals in the UK and Europe
- a leading UK telco on a commercial agreement for the creation of an edge colocation services business
- a leading property fund on the real estate aspects of its acquisition of a majority stake in temporary workspace (serviced office) business, and subsequent joint venture
- an Asian pension fund on its joint venture in relation to a major south London development
- a German financial investor, on their 50:50 development joint venture for a major office redevelopment in London
- a governmental organisation on funding of the acquisition and upgrade of a vaccine facility in the UK
- various domestic and overseas property developers and investors on acquisitions and sales of landmark office properties in London
- a North American REIT on the acquisition of a private hospital
- a global financial institution, an global accountancy firm and other major occupiers on their lettings and pre-letting of headquarters and various associated occupational arrangements in London
- a real estate investment fund on the acquisition of a 400-bed student accommodation property in a major university city in the UK
- a real estate investment manager on behalf of its client in relation to the acquisition and leaseback of a major logistics property of circa 2 million square feet
- various private equity and infrastructure funds on the real estate aspects of investments in and dispositions of rooftop and ground mounted solar projects, offshore windfarms, landfill gas extraction sites, biomass and biofuel generation facilities, battery storage facilities
- a sovereign wealth fund on various acquisitions of logistics properties with rooftop solar structure for the benefit of occupational tenants
