As a TMT lawyer, Senior Associate Meghan Annandale assists clients with various transactions in the technology sector, outsourcing arrangements and data privacy compliance.
Meghan regularly assists local and international technology and telecommunications companies with contract negotiations and regulatory compliance. She has also assisted clients with undertaking global outsourcing projects.
Meghan advises clients across different sectors in respect of privacy and cybersecurity compliance. Her experience includes assisting with data breach notifications, privacy compliance reviews, training on compliance obligations, and preparing data protection agreements and policies.
She has also gained invaluable in-house banking and finance sector experience during her secondments to the South African legal team and the global legal services team of two international banks, where she assisted with the review of various types of facility agreements, including LMA-based agreements, for uncommitted and committed bilateral and syndicated loans.

Meghan’s recent experience includes:
- together with the Eversheds Sutherland London office, assisting our client, NTT Limited, with a global business process outsource project including assistance with the tender process, down-selection of bidders, and subsequent negotiation of outsourcing agreements, and other arrangements for the two successful bidders. Our team was awarded the African Legal Awards TMT Team of the Year as a result of the pivotal role it played in this matter
- full-time secondments to the South African legal team and the global legal services team of two international banks, where she assisted with the review of various types of facility agreements, including LMA-based agreements, for uncommitted and committed bilateral and syndicated loans
- assisting clients with their data privacy compliance obligations, including providing training, preparing data protection agreements and policies, assisting with responses to data breaches and assisting with data breach notifications to impacted data subjects and the information regulator
- advising clients on various regulatory compliance obligations, including ICASA type approvals and reseller exemptions, and extended producer responsibility obligations
