Eversheds Sutherland Advises IGM Financial Inc. in Acquisition of Stake in Rockefeller Capital Management

Eversheds Sutherland is pleased to announce that it is acting as US legal advisor to client IGM Financial Inc. (IGM), a member of the Power Corporation of Canada group of companies and one of Canada's largest diversified wealth and asset management companies, in its purchase of an approximately 20.5 percent equity interest in Rockefeller Capital Management, for consideration of approximately USD$622 million.

The transaction places IGM as Rockefeller's second largest shareholder and expands IGM’s wealth management footprint into the US, with a brand and business model focused on the high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth segments.
