David is a Partner on our Construction and Engineering team.
He specializes in advising on non-contentious construction and engineering matters. David has 27 years of experience in advising on the procurement of major energy, transport, water, and other utilities construction and engineering projects. Clients particularly value his significant direct industry knowledge gained during his time previously working as a Chartered Civil Engineer in the utilities sector.
David is a nationally recognized market leader in advising on major infrastructure projects, having advised private, public and utility sector clients on over £15 billion worth of construction and engineering contracts of national and international strategic importance in recent years. He advises on civil engineering, mechanical and electrical engineering, renewable energy, and process plant projects. David is experienced in the full range of standard form construction contracts, including JCT, FIDIC, ICE/ICC, MF/1 and IChemE forms and is a particular specialist in advising on the full NEC suite of contracts. In addition, David is a market leader in drafting complex bespoke alliancing, partnering and framework agreements, having advised on such contracts with a value of over £1 billion in each of the water, railways, electricity and gas sectors.
