Chloe Themistocleous is an Employment Lawyer who specialises in helping businesses defend complex Employment Tribunal claims.
Chloe is a Partner in our Manchester office. She is experienced in Employment Law.
Chloe has a strong litigation practice and regularly represents businesses in the Employment Tribunal at both Preliminary and Final Hearings all over the United Kingdom. Chloe also has extensive experience negotiating the settlement of tribunal claims at all stages and also represents her clients at judicial mediation.
Chloe has a wealth of experience acting for both Respondents and previously Claimants in Tribunal litigation, including claims for unfair dismissal, all types of discrimination and whistleblowing. Chloe also has significant experience in litigating class actions. Chloe led an Employment Tribunal claim for the protective award that resulted in the first-ever criminal prosecution of those responsible for the business's decline.

Chloe was also appointed as an Employment Judge sitting in the North East Region in July 2024.
In addition to her Employment Tribunal work, Chloe provides employment law and human resources advice and training to businesses. Chloe also spent over a year on Secondment as in-house counsel at a global tech company.

Advice and training Chloe provides to clients includes:
- regularly representing businesses in complex Tribunal claims including undertaking advocacy;
- regularly advising on a variety of complex disciplinary, appeal and grievances processes, providing hands-on support to her clients throughout;
- providing advice and support to businesses in large-scale redundancy situations and/or in varying terms and conditions;
- providing assistance and support to businesses in receipt of complicated flexible working requests and sensitive disclosures from whistleblowers;
- advising on a variety of contract and handbook reviews for various types of engagements;
- negotiating senior executive terminations and drafting accompanying settlement agreements;
- delivering a broad range of training to clients on:
- fairly dismissing;
- discrimination in practice (with a focus on sexual harassment and disability discrimination);
- employment law updates;
- undertaking mock tribunals to simulate the Tribunal process for employees.
