Holly is the firm’s ESG Legal Director, part of the Global ESG Leadership Team at Eversheds Sutherland.
Holly works together with Eversheds Sutherland’s ESG lawyers globally around climate change and related social issues for businesses, helping to ensure clients are up to date with regulatory requirements and advising on effective governance arrangements, policies, ESG strategies and obligations. Holly has published articles and guides on various ESG topics and frequently delivers ESG and sustainable finance training to clients and internal teams.

Holly has a background in clean and sustainable finance, regularly advising clients on a wide range of sustainable finance transactions including sustainability-linked, green and social debt as well as advising clients on power and renewable energy matters globally, including:
- advising a Sponsor consortium on a USD $80m financing of the first green hydrogen facility in Egypt, and the first integrated green hydrogen facility in Africa as a whole
- advising numerous borrowers and lenders on sustainability-linked loans, including loans in relation to:
- incentivising unemployed residents into work or work based programmes (believed to be one of the first sustainability-linked loans in the social housing space)
- using increased percentages of recycled product in manufacturing processes
- reducing greenhouse gas emissions
- advising various sponsors on a number of 50MW solar projects under Round II Solar PV Feed in Tariffs in Egypt
- advising a conservation entity in relation to a Wildlife Impact Bond, the world’s first pay-for-results financial instrument for species conservation
- advising a borrower on a £150 million social loan in relation to providing social housing
