Nathan is a Senior Associate on the London Corporate team and a member of the firm’s Education sector group.
Before joining Eversheds Sutherland, Nathan worked for the Association of Colleges for over ten years where he was responsible for HR, company secretarial and governance matters and was a member of the senior management team.
Nathan has substantial experience in advising on mergers and acquisitions, joint venture and collaboration arrangements, constitutional and governance matters. He also regularly provides advice on due diligence, commercial, regulatory, charity and procedural matters.

- a US university on the regulatory aspects of its acquisition of a UK based private higher education provider
- a UK university on its collaboration with a Chinese university
- Global University Systems on its acquisition of The University of Law
- dozens of further education colleges on mergers (often on a joint basis)
- a large national training body on the packaging and disposal of its training business split across several regions of the UK
- education providers (both private and public), as well as large corporates, on subcontracting, training and apprenticeship delivery agreements
- a government research council on the set up of two separate prestigious research institutes, both of which involved UK university partners
