Marinetek on yksi johtavista satamaratkaisuiden toimittajista, ja sen korkealaatuisia betoni-, alumiini-, ja puuponttoniratkaisuja käytetään useissa satamissa, aallonmurtajissa ja muissa kelluvissa rakenteissa. Marinetek ja sen konserniyhtiöt toimivat maailmanlaajuisesti 9 eri maassa. Menettelyn aikana toteutettiin kokonaisvaltainen Marinetek Groupin uudelleenrahoitus CapMan Special Situations -rahaston toimesta. CapManin rahasto hankki enemmistön yhtiön osakkeista ja sijoittaa uutta pääomaa yhtiöön varmistaakseen yhtiön liiketoiminnan kehittämisen. Osana uudelleenrahoitusta yhtiön seniorivelat siirtyivät rahastolle. Nämä järjestelyt yhdistettynä yrityssaneerausmenettelyyn antavat Marinetek-konsernille vankan pohjan liiketoiminnan kehittämiselle. Jari Salmisen lisäksi toimeksiannon ydintiimiin kuuluivat osakas Tuomas Penttilä ja Associate Miika Huhtinen. Yrityssaneerausmenettely aloitettiin maaliskuussa 2021, ja asianajaja Jari Salminen määrättiin menettelyn selvittäjäksi.
