Our Life Sciences and Healthcare capability in Ireland

Ireland is home to 14 of the world’s top 15 Medical Technology companies and 9 of the top 10 Pharma companies. With offices in Dublin and Belfast, we present you with an all-island, cross-departmental, full legal service offering. Our life sciences team are able to help you with a range of intellectual property licensing to product liability, from regulatory advices to navigating the local healthcare ecosystem. Our cross-disciplinary team can advise you at all phases of development and has experience in every aspect of the life sciences sector.

Our recent experience includes advising:

  • an Irish medical device manufacturer which is a world leader in nebulizer technology on its arrangements with one of Chinas largest life sciences enterprises for the deployment of the clients’ proprietary nebulizer technology for the use in the inhaled delivery of a Covid-19 vaccine
  • a locally-based manufacturer of surgical wound closure devices in connection the clinical trial process for its latest devices. The clinical trials were conducted in a number of medical institutions across a number of EU jurisdictions
  • a clinical diagnostics client on its most recent fundraising including an award of significant European Union Funding for development and commercialization of its rapid testing products for use in respect of detecting presence of the Covid-19 virus
  • members of a multimember US specialized Private Equity Group on a significant Series B Investment Round in an Irish based device manufacturing enterprise. The investment round involved investment by strategic investment funds and industry participants from across the globe
  • a major international generic drug manufacturer on its local establishment including the construction of its European Manufacturing Headquarters and business transfer to the new faciltity
