If you have any questions or require further information, do not hesitate to contact Viktoria Zeki: ViktoriaZeki@eversheds-sutherland.com.
There are no fixed application deadlines for any of our roles. You can apply whenever it suits you best. We are always happy to accept applications for Student Assistantships (before the completion of the First State Examination) or Research Assistantships (after the completion of the First State Examination).
Many talents who are looking to organise their law firm or elective stage contact us once they have been accepted for the legal traineeship, but you can also apply at short notice.
In addition to a brief cover letter outlining your interest, we ask that you submit your CV and evidence of relevant qualifications (e.g. school leaving certificate, examination certificate, work/employment references).
In addition to your cover letter, please send a tabular CV, all relevant certificates including school leaving certificate, examination certificate, work/employment references if applicable, and details of your preferred department and location by email to: bewerbung@eversheds-sutherland.com
Our first check focuses on the formal standards of your application. Are the cover letter, CV and references complete and carefully prepared? When reviewing the cover letter and CV, we focus on whether the candidate demonstrates the necessary qualifications and motivation for the role.
The response to your application may vary depending on the type of programme or position you are applying for - be it an internship, a student/research assistantship or legal traineeship. You will normally receive an acknowledgement of receipt shortly after submitting your application. You will receive our rejection letter or the invitation for a personal or virtual interview usually within 1-2 weeks from receipt of your application.
If we are impressed by your written application and would like to meet you in person, your documents will be the starting point for our interview. In addition to your professional qualifications, we would also like to know more about your personality and motivation. Please be prepared to talk in more detail about your previous roles as well as your motivation and working methods.
Yes, we are happy to consider your professional interests.
Yes, we employ legal talents in all our offices. We will be happy to advise you on which location is best suited to your professional interests.
In our experience, an internship after your intermediate exam will allow you to get the most out of your work with us. However, we are happy to advise you on this.
In order to give you the best possible insight into our work, we concentrate on the fixed spring and summer internship programmes. We will, however, try to accommodate your preferred dates.
Viktoria Zeki is your contact person for all questions regarding the internship programme. Please feel free to contact her directly: ViktoriaZeki@eversheds-sutherland.com.
We employ students even before they have completed their First State Examination. If you are at the beginning of your studies, you may be interested in our LIFT OFF internship programme.
We have no fixed requirements in terms of working time and are happy to adapt to your needs. Some applicants choose a specific timeframe, such as two or three days a week for three to six months, while others prefer flexibility in their training. We take into account the individual wishes and training plans of each applicant.
Yes, it is possible to work part-time during your legal traineeship, but usually only to a limited extent. For this reason, many interested candidates choose to work with us as a research assistant in their law firm or elective stage or before or after their legal traineeship. This gives you a more comprehensive insight into our work.
