Our nationally ranked Corporate Securities, Intellectual Property, International Arbitration, and Tax practice groups often consider extern candidates during the fall and spring semesters. For eleven weeks, externs are involved in research assignments, article drafting, presentation creation, and special projects with their assigned practice group.
They also attend attorney meetings and firm training programs. Through substantive pro-jects, observation, and practice group activities, we provide opportunities for our externs to gain a realistic view of practicing in their specific practice area of focus.
Applying for an extern position
Eversheds Sutherland participates in the LLM externship programs during the law school fall and spring semesters. We also accept direct applications. Please review our open positions for any available opportunities at this time. The extern application process typically includes a formal application with Attorney Recruiting, a screening interview with 1-2 attorneys, a full callback interview with 5-8 attorneys, and a Practice Group decision in two-three weeks.
