Mr. Rudloff has more than two decades of experience in global project development, finance and asset acquisition and disposition transactions for a wide range of energy and other infrastructure matters.
Mr. Rudloff advises diverse stakeholders – including global corporations and financial institutions as sponsors, suppliers, contractors, borrowers, lenders and offtakers – on the complex and multifaceted aspects of development projects. His successful track record includes work in multiple forms of renewable energy, oil and gas, infrastructure and mining and metals, for projects that are often cross-border.
“We are so pleased to welcome Christian as our latest attorney with standout experience to expand our team’s international energy and infrastructure project development and transactional work,” said Partner and Co-Head of Global Energy Thomas Warren. “His deep understanding of project development and implementation across geographies and project types will provide our clients with a practical, commercial-driven and holistic approach to their strategic infrastructure development plans.”
Mr. Rudloff’s far-reaching work has engaged him in projects around the world, with a particular focus in the US, Latin America and Africa. His on-the-ground perspectives will help clients address the related opportunities and challenges, including in connection with complex business contracts that often require multi-year budgeting and planning.
In addition to his global network, Mr. Rudloff’s base in New York offers strong connections to the global finance sector, which is a critical part of the project development ecosystem.
Prior to Eversheds Sutherland, Mr. Rudloff was counsel for more than 17 years at two global law firms in New York where he focused on a broad range of finance and energy-related work.
Fluent in Spanish, he has worked extensively on development projects throughout Latin America. His experience also includes over eight years of diverse international legal experience in Chile and Mexico, where he represented lenders in syndicated loans and project financings and represented major companies in the information technology, energy and engineering-construction sectors.
Earlier in 2025, the Energy team welcomed Partner Alex Choinski in Houston, who formerly practiced with Mr. Rudloff and is similarly focused on complex cross-border traditional and renewable energy international project finance, project development and related transactions, also with strong experience in Latin America.
