Specifically, Brian counsels U.S. and foreign clients on compliance and enforcement risks arising under U.S. trade and national security laws related to economic sanctions, export controls, tariffs, foreign investment, anti-boycott regulations, and the Foreign Agents Registration Act. He also provides guidance for nuclear licensing and compliance matters relating to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.
During law school Brian worked as a legal extern within the Office of the General Counsel at the U.S. Department of Energy, a summer law clerk at the U.S. Department of Justice, and a member of the Georgetown University Law Center’s Federal Legislation Clinic.
Prior to pursuing a career in the law, Brian served as a noncommissioned officer in the U.S. Army Special Forces where he supported counterterrorism operations throughout the Middle-East.
