Eversheds Sutherland Expands Commercial Real Estate Finance Capabilities with New York Counsel Rachel Schneidman

This strategic addition further strengthens the firm’s commercial real estate finance capabilities for both local and national lenders and investors across the capital stack. 

Ms. Schneidman, with nearly a decade of varied commercial real estate experience and a strong focus on mortgage loan origination, will support clients on complex commercial real estate matters spanning boutique deals to large-scale, high-value transactions.

Ms. Schneidman’s practice includes representing lenders, borrowers, buyers and sellers in the origination of mortgage, mezzanine and construction loans, loan restructurings, acquisitions, dispositions and leases. She has extensive experience in transactions involving numerous property types – such as multifamily, office, hotel, mixed-use, industrial, retail, cooperatives and condominiums and portfolios of diversified assets – for clients including domestic and international banks, life insurance companies, developers, institutional investors, loan servicers and borrowers.

Ms. Schneidman is a member of the CRE Finance Council (CREFC’s) Young Professionals Steering Committee as well as the co-Chair of CREFC’s Young Professionals Membership/Community Outreach Sub-Committee and the former co-Chair of CREFC’s Young Professionals Development Sub-Committee. 

Prior to joining Eversheds Sutherland, Ms. Schneidman developed her practice on the New York-based team of another private practice law firm.   

She is the latest attorney to join the US Real Estate team since December 2024, following the arrival of Partner Emanuel Tsourounis, Counsel Amy Hughes and four associates and four paralegals.
